Mary Fawley, Owner
After nine years of teaching math, I decided it was time to take my love of numbers in a new direction – accounting! I spent eight years in small business doing almost every administrative and financial task that it takes to run a company on a daily basis including holding the position of Controller for five years. I have hands-on experience with customer billing, vendor bill payments, HR and payroll, banking and account reconciliations, sales tax, and interim financial statement preparation.
I opened Great Bridge Bookkeeping in 2016 with the goal of helping small businesses with their financial needs. With that in mind, I offer several services which include performing accounting tasks for small businesses, helping business owners and employees learn how to do these tasks efficiently and accurately themselves, and reviewing and streamlining processes to make sure that tasks are being completed in the best way.
What sets Great Bridge Bookkeeping apart from other bookkeeping firms? A personal touch! Having been a teacher, I believe there is no substitute for learning face-to-face so I offer consulting and training in person, either at the client’s site or at another agreed-upon location. I offer a remote training option as well. I believe we are always learning, and I encourage clients to understand the importance of having basic financial knowledge.
